On the ugly red boxes? I want small(ish) storage boxes in my house but I hate the look of the red boxes. Also don't want to use stacked pouches or backpacks.

Do the stains work on them?

They do, but then so does a normal furniture dye tub.
Another attractive small storage solution is baskets, especially as they can now be made in different colours using reeds from plants.

I found for some of the baskets since you can steal them it's cheaper to just grab them or buy them and then dye them. Since softened reeds take 2 plants to make, and some baskets take more than 1 softened reed, but a 5 charge bottle of dye only takes one plant to make, and the stealable baskets are all artis and therefore dyeable.
