Do Killer Pumpkin Masks Have a Purpose?

What now?

I have 68 masks sitting in a box, and just picked up my first Mesanna today.

I really do appreciate the effort put into creating the event - chasing down killer pumpkins, getting them to spawn (especially the paragons - that's what all of them should have been like!), and collecting names was all fun, but the even just seems unfinished. The masks seem to do nothing, you can't even wear the darn things, and there is no back-story to the event.

There should be something more. Did I miss something? Will it tie into some Thanksgiving event? Plant the masks in the pumpkin patch to spawn a killer turkey? Will we be able to put them on and turn ourselves into a random monster?

The purpose - the purpose... The purpose was for you to spend time collecting them while having fun. Sounds like you exploited the purpose.

Don't worry about it Old Man of UO .. there are still dozens of players collecting those masks furiously and what they hope to do with them, I don't know. I don't know what to do with the hundreds *haven't counted them yet* filling up a house.

I am 13 shy of a complete name set with all three masks types. I was planning on just a name set but since it took so long to get all the names; I just decided to try and get the whole set. I am planning on putting them up in my second account house which has nothing but two rugs and a room of storage chest. I have quite a few to trade for the ones I need if I can't get them all before the event is over. As for the extras after that, I guess I'll either sell or keep for points later.
