Do help calls to GMs even work anymore?

So there's some junk left over from an IDOC which I'd like to get a GM to remove so I can expand my plot to a keep. Unfortunately, I've tried three days to submit the help request and I never get the queue messages. When I go back to the help menu, it lets me go to other-other and fill in another request which it never allowed me to do before. Has anyone gotten GM help in the last week? I'm on the classic client by the way.

I think GM help has been discontinued. I had a container go out under the house sign when I went into customize mode and went I shut down customize mode and went out to get it, I could only open & close it, I wasn't able to pick it up. A GM request went unanswered and I also didn't get any queue messages.

Customer Service from EA is there in name only. Sadly Customer Service is very high on my list of requirements whether I give a company my business. Not sure how many more nails the coffins of my accounts can take before their left for dead.

I vented in a post earlier about this a couple weeks ago but my point remains valid as it was over items blocking a housing spot and that is a time sensitive issue in some cases where immediate GM intervention is required. I put a request in one time recently, thought i cancelled it and then 5 days layer i get the message your in GM chat, and I am like am in trouble?. and he says no, you had a problem with housing. I didnt want to say that it has been 5 days since it happened and i actually had a discussion with a GM that had knowledge of UO and i was talking about bugged items that block placement that people may be unaware of (carpet tiles, ugh).

I had that happens to me a few days ago, paged on a champ spawn that didnt spawn. 3 days later i get GM chat saying spawn has been reset..gee really 3 days. By that time i had totally forgotten i had paged lol Waiting a few hours is one thing, but days is bad customer service.

Considering the game janitor only lets things sit not locked down up to perhaps three hours, waiting a few hours is to long. The item is gone, and, of course, can't be replaced. And of course there are those players who can only find a couple hours to play a few times a week who are simply s.o.l. with a few hours to a few days wait for customer service involved. This is not something that would fall into the category of 'How to Motivate Our Customers to Stay Our Customers'.

I wrote up a report to EA following my last GM page.... took me a week to get an email regarding a problem but by the time I got the reply of course they couldn't find the problem..... I did send FEEDBACK and it was NOT very nice. Basically I told them that their in-game support or lack there of was highly unprofessional and was likely to reflect extremely poorly on them as a company.... and if they really hated UO that much that they can't even provide us with customer support anymore then they may as well shut it down...

twice this week i have had a GM turn up and ask if im AFK mining. Both times within 30 mins of me starting to mine, so i guess they are still there and working

I've been trying to speak with a GM since I sent my first report in-game on December 30th. The only communication I've had is an email on the 16th of January (below) in response to that first request. Naughty me for logging off after 17 days! Every time I send an in-game request I have to leave after 3 or 4 hours without any reply. And so it continues......

If you need a GM to remove somthing in game that is Blocking placement the only thing I have found that occasionally works is to get the exact co-ordinates of the object in question and page a GM stating this:

There is a XXX blocking placement at the co-ordinates xy.zN ab.cE and it is a bugged item that requires a GM to be removed. Thank you for your time.

This usually works for me.... or something to that effect. You MUST be very clear about it. If the item in question isn't removed in a few days then you have to get kinda nasty and say something to the effect of:

I've paged about this bugged item before and it's still there. YOU are required to do your job and remove it from the co-ordinates of xy.zN ab.cE. If you do NOT come and remove this item I'll be forced to give negative feedback regarding my assistance to this game. Please take care of it. Thank you.

Now sometimes I get a nasty response back about it and they tell me it's NOT their job to do such things at which I fill out a VERY nasty survey telling EA that once again their customer service is lacking and their sense of professionalism is at an all time low. Then I try sending a PM or email to Mesanna. But I don't like to bother her with stupid stuff like that which the GM's are supposed to take care of. I do keep names and emails of my responses from the GM's though.

Has there been any comment from a dev in regards to the lack of customer support for the past few months? I totally disagree with how EA/Mythic is handling ingame issues that are of a time-sensitive nature; such as unlocked decaying items that are rendered unreachable because of a bug that was supposedly fixed.

I always see these threads in the UHall and thought it was time I posted my experiences. I honestly have no idea what the problem is but I have had nothing but great experiences when paging GMs. I'd recommend keeping your page description as brief and concise as possible. It also helps to know what sort of things GMs can help with and what they can't beforehand.
Question, which client are you using? Do you get a queue countdown like we used to get before? Also, I know GMs can help with this. They've helped me before removing leftover house deco that blocks house placement.

Same experience here. I rarely have a problem getting a GM if I need one

Now we have to figure out the reason some get normally quick responses from GMs and some rarely do. It may be the wording of the request or perhaps an account note file of 'player attitude' seen from the player in the past due to player frustration.

I got contacted by a GM when I logged in this morning. It did no good of course as the game janitor had removed the container yesterday afternoon and they can't replace anything lost to game system errors. One more notch on my GM attitude post.

i have paged several times like most of you and have never received a cue automated response. I believe there are no longer GMs in the game. Somethign I think we need to deal with.

It went well end of last year, always getting a response, but the past weeks I needed them three times to deal with a well-known scripter that was abusing a certain exploit, and they didn't show up. Nor did I get queue messages.
