Do acid slugs eat weapons like slimes

I’m putting together some weapons to do the quest to gain access to the Underworld. Do the acid slugs eat up your weapon like slimes do? If so I’ll put spell channeling on it ... hoping it works the same as it does on the slimes acid.

I put it on my DA anyway .... had enough room .... but got another dumb question .... I went there and must have killed a couple hundred acid slugs but didn't get any acid sacs ..... BET I have to loot their corpses ... which is gonna be fun since they disappear almost instantly .... *** SIGH ***

EDIT: They do spew acid that will eat your weapon unless you put spell channeling on it. I used the wrong one and got the "acid eating or something" message

I think the acid damages more than your weapon, but definitely use one with spell channeling. And you do have to loot the acid sacs. I also think you have a better shot at the sacs from the yellow slugs, rather than the green ones.
