As long as you can pack 65 DCI, you can pretty much offset the lowered defense chance from the spell. The spell though is not worth using continuously. Just nice to use in emergency and when you have no pots or anything else to help you out or when you aren't in danger of dying.

If you have 65 DCI and you're leeching plenty of mana, no reason not to use it really. Also, it's much easier to cast Divine Fury for stamina if you're using a two handed weapon and need a quick boost than switch to a one handed, drink, and switch back to your two hander.
