Diversity in EA-Land

More than anything else, I am loving the diversity in skilling and money making in EA-Land right now. The job track is flourishing, and solo items which haven't been used in ages are now extremely popular!

I've got my Gnome lot ready for the merge! Finally there will be some use for it

I agree, however, it would be nice if skill and money lots would focus on the one skill/money object, rather than having almost all available on the one lot.

It's a pain in the butt to find a skill house with three different skills and when you go there to finally be able to skill a certain skill, no one is doing it.. same for money lots.

Good luck with your gnome house.

I agree this is VERY annoying to see a home named charming cretive bodies (as example, please excuse if there actually is one). The house is full, u finaly get in and not 1 sim is doing charm.

But look at thier point of view too. What do you do when everyone coming in wants to do a different skll then what you have and theres no other houses online that are doing that skill.

So it does kinda go both ways. So i don't mind houses having a couple skills but having more hen that is getting kind of silly.

I can understand it with skill houses. It only takes 6 sims to get 118% and when you can have 30, why settle on just one skill? You could easily keep 2 skills at 118%. 3 skills might be a little harder to keep all of them up though...

Money houses should really focus on one item since it takes quite a few people to max out payouts.

I agree. I have a money house that has only objects for logic skills. It works out nicely since the Dev's sometimes throw in little surprises for us and having potions and boards gives a little variety. Visitors always seem to team up for the better payouts. It works out nicely.

Yeah, always seeing people asking for a phone to go to sim work. I started back at it again...and made $323 in one 10 minute round of making robots last night/early this morning before maintenance)! I actually had help too!!! Can you believe it?

Actually I kind of miss having my old skill house with all the skills. The one thing that bothers me...just a little....is that I am never at the same skill house with my friends, because we do different skills! In the old days we could all skill together and I miss it.

On the other hand....you know when you go somewhere that has only one skill, they will be skilling it, lol. So I guess it does go both ways....

Well I am going to try and get to know people who are doing the same skills and money objects as me because that is the most productive way to go. I prefer forums for real human socialising so I am not really going to look for personal friends in the game - just sims who can help my sim
Hope this doesn't offend anyone.

In all the 5 years that I have been playing, I rarely skill with my friends because we skill different things so we can work and make money together. We keep in touch through IMs if we are all out skilling. I actually prefer this because we are all able to meet and network with other people and are not limited to just our circle of friends.

I've never owned or run a skill house so I can see how this would keep you all together in one place all the time. I've never really lived that way, so it isn't anything I could miss.

With the ability to have more than one sim at a time in EALand, I now find myself switching sims all the time so that I can do different things with different friends. This is one of the first times, that I do catch myself skilling with a friend because we are all skilling multiple sims for different jobs and money making objects.

The amazing custom content I've seen has really added some diversity into EA Land. If the devs can keep this up, then it's only going to get better!
