Disobedient Cu Sidhes

Has anyone else had problems with certain cu sidhes being entirely disobedient? I have more than enough taming/lore for the 99% control chance and don't have any problems with my bonded one, but a lot of cu sidhes I try to give commands to that haven't bonded (mostly freshly tamed) disobey and drop loyalty 100% of the time.

I've had similar problems on rare occasions with nightmares and dragons, but it seems to be a consistent problem for me with cu sidhes. It's nothing big, as I don't really need to give commands to unbonded ones much anyway, but I was just wondering if anyone else has this same issue.

Did you physically see them spawn as you tamed them? I believe they become less obedient if they've been tamed more than once. ie: someone comes along and tames it, for a skill gain or whatever, and releases it and walks away. then you come along and tame it to keep.

That sounds like it's probably the case. I know at least one of them for sure was pretamed, since it was walking around outside Destard.

If the cu has been tamed before you can tell by loring it before you tame and looking at the stats it has. It'll have "tamed cu" stats when it's wild. But usually it's obvious because they're taking far longer to tame than usual. If you retamed a cu which has been released by another tamer, it will likely go wild the minute you command it if it hasn't been fed. Rather than he usual happy fresh tamed pup behaviour. But once a cu is fed you shouldn't have that problem even if it was previously tamed.

If a pet was first tamed by yourself and it won't behave when you've fed it, and your control skills are ok, you may find releasing it and taming it again helps (feed it immediately after re-taming). If it still gives you trouble after that, either ask another tamer to take it and see how it behaves with them, or call a GM and ask if they can fix it.

Just a long shot here... when you say you have enough skill for 99% control, are you using the most recent formula for control? If you're using any skill items, are you sure you've got them equipped? The reason I'm asking is that if you're having rare trouble with a mare or dragon but more with cu's, I'm wondering if there could be a skill issue. Mares and drags are that bit easier to control, and even at 120 I get the odd "screw you" from my pets. That's normal enough, because you have that 1% failure rate and a RNG that loves to drop you in it. But when numerous specimens of the same critter are telling you where to go, I'd look at the taming skills again just to be sure. Maybe try buffing your skills up a bit higher if you can?
