I was told that UO has always been that if you disco a monster it hurts the loot. Someone was unhappy that I was using disco on shame monsters, told me I am hurting their drops.

Disco hurts your loot?

Untrue. As far as I know disco effects nothing drop related.

Been playing a disco/tamer for a long time and never heard or experienced any decrease in loot if the mob was discoed when it died.
I have been using a provoke/disco with 1700 luck in shame and getting pretty decent drops.
Someone is pulling your leg. Unless they meant you are cutting into the loot as a share holder once the creature is dead. I did hear they were trying to fix the bard rights to looting if they were successfull in skill use. This might be what they are refering to. To date however I have not had any luck in getting looting rights on any critter I bard unless I hit it with spells.
LOL You were killing things to fast and getting more loot so they told you this line of BS to slow you down.
Would be nice for a bard to be able to get some credit for his contribution to making the fight easier.

Why does almost every thread have to turn into "Come to SP"? Maybe I should do the same with Catskills. It would make as much sense.
This, as well as a significant number of other game 'facts' delivered by some hunters in dungeons, can simply be translated as 'we want all the spawn, go away'. There is no truth in it.
mwaha, you are welcome to invite people to catskills... just cite your advantages, let people think for themselves.
As I type this,Catskills Shame is practically empty. I have the 3rd level all to myself. How's that for an advantage? Click a luck statue and go to work.
