Disarm special move...

Seems to me A LOT of people rely on chain disarming players now a day during pvp. Personally I think it should make you unable to deal damage (which it does), and not remove any chance of you defending yourself. Kind of lame that you're a legendary warrior that can't defend himself without a weapon in hand.

Yeah I know a lot of people will say get wrestling, but I think a different way to defend yourself could the way mages do that have anatomy+eval for defence. Maybe for warriors you could have anatomy+any weapon skill /2 +10 like it is for mages.

Dexers with 60+ DCI and 120 parrying are still kinda hard to hit, even when they're disarmed. You just gotta keep moving and spam that re-arm key!

Any smart dexxer wouldnt disarm. Who honestly sits there and lets a dexxer bash their head in while disarm? No one. Most straight line it.

Disarm dexxers are the bottom end of the pvp scale IMHO.

I proposed this a couple of years or more ago. Disarm chance should be modified by weapon skill, tactics, str and dex. A simple way would be to add all four together for attacker and defender, subtract the defender's total from the attacker's, divide that number by two, and add that to 50 to get the chance of disarming when you land the move. The present situation where you can easily disarm a legendary warrior, is ridiculous.

Have you fought disarm melee/archer dexers that running shot you for 30+ per hit at cap swing that have no chance of missing (since you're disarmed)?

My beef isn't the fact that there should be a chance or not of being disarmed. Let them spam it for all I care, all it should do is deny you from being able to deal damage NOT make you as easy to hit as a mongbat.

Its ironic to read your posts and then see your STFU signature.
But that's beisdes the point. Disarm is like a beeotch move to anyone using a weapon to defend themselves, especially when they do nothing but spam disarm. Disarm archer is one of the lamest template that takes extremely little if any player skill yet can effectively pvp.

Disarm shouldn't be such a pancake move and should be a defensive move. But it's pretty much the only thing you have to kill a 60dci max evasion character tho.

I have, and lived more times then died. time your heal spells and pots long enuff to be able to equip ur weap. Simple. Also if your another dexxer. 4 sec bandies and pots are even easier.

Well if a bushido character was disarmed they could still have normal defence, but no chance to parry which would make them easier to hit by 35-40%.

Maybe parry should be a little more important, like for example, how eval int tackles magic resist. If tactics is less than opponent's parry, then specials should work less often or be less effective (less time disarmed, immunity after a couple of chains for a short duration, etc.). Roach mages might have too much of an advantage with those changes though, and of course, it would have to be tested.

Maybe if it cost more mana, on a human warrior I think its like 5 mana per try. Kind of low isn't compared to other specials.

yeah get rid of disarm just as soon as you nerf the mage weapons
Well, actually, my suggestion would make no difference disarming most of those using mage weapons, ie. it would be much easier to disarm the average mage, than it would the average dexxer, which is the whole point. How many mages do you know with high str, high dex and high tactics? Another nice thing about this change is it would reward warriors for specializing as warriors.
