Disappointed in the lack of housing spaces.

Was hoping to spread out a bit, perhaps place a home there.
Spots are very limited it seems and most of the land is unavailable to housing at all.
Some putz placed two and one is decaying already. Shame on you!
Anywho.....sure thought there was gonna be some land open for homes.

On a similar thought, the lands in malas were supposed to be opened up for placing as well. Any time line on that action?

Their is housing their to place but you need to be Noble to place it, the devs also said their are other housing areas that can be opened up if required.
Thou its gonna be a long time for that to happen as the plot sizes i see arnt 18x18 so why would anyone give their large house up for a smaller one.
Also their just arnt that many people needing housing anymore, i know at the side of my place in Malas their is an empty area capable of housing a castle now (apart from housing rules dont let it happen in malas) its been empty for ages now. Europa used to be a swine to place a house on but no longer.

Whats the big deal? I`m just wondering why its so important. Ya can walk thru Britannia any day of the week (on most shards)and find an 18x18 plot. I can see some frustration over not being able to place or not having room IF its was like the days of old.Ya know,when housing was hard to find.

The big deal is not in regards to actually placing a House.

Sure, if one wanted there is room in either Felucca, Trammel or Malas already.

The point is, at least for me, to see a system designed by Developers WITHOUT putting in enough safeguards (daily CAPs on the amount of loyalty points earnable) to protect the casual player versus the powergamer.

I would appreciate much more a game were I saw the developers to hold powergamers AND casual gamers in the same balanced love rather then see new content most often always going to powergamers rather than casual gamers.......

You need to move to either Cuba or North Korea. They're the only 2 countries still left that hold beliefs such as this. Everyone else proved it doesn't work.

With virtually every account (98.5% was the last figured mentioned I think) having a house there is no need anymore to create vast expanses of space for them. So expansions only create a couple new ones just for the fun of it. There is no way they can add a spot for everyone who wants it.

1. The "big deal" is that I found myself interested in placing in the new areas. Dont know why it has to be a "big deal" to you, but whatever.

Points you get for killing crap in SA. Once they added up to 10k, you were able to place due to your "loyalty" to the queen.

Click on yourself, and choose "loyalty rating" from the toon context menu.

Also, dunno bout your "vast" comment, but I saw about 20 spaces, most taken already. I suppose its too much to ask to make like 100 available for the "gargs" who might want to live there, eh?
Lastly, there is no way blah blah blah? Please. Its simply a matter of coding more pixels, and making them available for downloading. Besides, the land is already there, just that it seems as tho 99% of it says housing cannot be created there.

There's already a game like this. It's called World of Warcraft. Besides, there's already a cap on how many times you can do the quests per day which quite frankly should be enough for a whiner noob like you.

I don't see anything wrong if a player who plays for 10 hours a day gains more than a player who plays 1 hour a day. You don't get paid for 8 hours work when you work for 1 hour, do you?

That is a pretty terrible thing to hope for. This expansion was by far the most fair way to implement housing. Everyone had the same chance to get to 10,000 loyalty points. Although it could have been done a little better. Only takes a couple hours farming monsters to achieve placement.

Hey we dont need anymore housing area...the new housing are is small and fun..jezze its fun beacuse u will live on a refugee camp!!!

Yes theres room for a few 1818s and the rest are small- meduim plots that will never get used ever!! the housing area would have been better for 4-5 new keeps then it woukld have definately been used

Agreed. They made it FAR too easy for anyone who is able to powergame their way through, to be able to place in a matter of hours. When you couple that with the debacle of trying to purchase UO then some players had absolutely no chance whatsoever of getting a housing spot. (honestly EA, MILLIONS, yes MILLIONS of web sites use add to cart shopping systems and it works fine. How the hell can a company like EA not get it right? I was unable to purchase either through UO Gamecodes or the EA site as it just says it cannot verify my details)

I was lucky enough to be able to buy a couple of codes a few days later for gold but too late ... the housing boat had sailed so to speak.

The whole loyalty system looks like it was just thrown in with no thought whatsoever as to how it would work and what the implications would be.
