Disappearing Pet

This morning I was outside Delucia with a pet. Lost connection for some reason, but was able to sign right back in. Pet was nowhere in sight. Ran around like a chicken with its head cut off yelling for my pet. Then checked stables and there he was.

Does that always happens when you lose connection? What if I had been in a dungeon?

Yes This is a feature that UO did to save pets if you lose conn. They auto stable.
