Digging Out The Old Treasure Chappy Then...

Hey all, I've started playing my old Treasure Hunter, Sam Slade again over on Europa; but after decoding and completing up to Level 3 maps (Expertly Drawn) I suspect he'll need a fair bit of tweaking before I can risk going up a few levels!

The first problem is the enhanced client I'm using; if the treasure chest is dug up under a tree, you get 2x Dirt Patch gumps and one for a Metal Chest when you use CTRL+SHIFT; but I can't seem to target it's gump using Telekinesis, which means I have to get into Circle Of Transparency range, which then on the L3 chest kills me because I'm too close. How are people popping the chests now?

Secondly, I'm not sure on what his build should be; This is what he currently has, after shaking off the dust of 6 years away...

The Discordance is new, due to seeing it recommended so many times on the boards here; What I used to do though is dig the chest, and the moment the nasties appeared, hit Peacemaking and then run out of range of aggro. Then I'd start provoking them on each other. And, using magery (in particular blade spirits and vortex) to finish them off. I can't recall the highest level chest I ever beat with these skills alas, and that new Level 6 one terrifies me :p (Paragon Ancient Wyrms? Oh deary me). However I'm not sure I can fit GM Discord into this build, nor do I have anything but basic LRC gear for now... I can craft GM Instruments though, from my mule, Muffin. So what would people recommend for solo (for now!) treasure hunting?

Hmmm ....
you need to use a lockpick first on the chest to unlock it. Move some steps away and use a telekinesis - last target-macro. Works fine for me.

My Provo thunter build is decent. Tamer thunters are better.

115 magery-90 real-spell book-ring-brace all +magery
115 eval- real
100 med-90 real with spellwoven britches
120 music- 110 real with songwoven mantle
120 provo - 95 real Provo - ring and brace + Provo
100 lockpick
100 cart

I made this character pre-imbueing and have not improved his suit yet.

700 skillpoints. Could go higher on a few skills to put more mods on stuff. The disco sounds great. Just drop eval for disco. Then provoking 2 wyrms won't take forever. Have a great day.

Ahh of course, I didn't think of that ;) No comments on the initial spawn yet I see though... how are people handling that at higher levels, or is everything above Level 4 (which I've tackled and done now too, with peace-run-provoke-blade spirits ago go) definitely a team thing?

EV's Provo and evaluate intellect add up to death for just about any guardian except wyrms.

I get on an archer or tamer and kill the ones that are leftover.

I've seen 1 GD (not even a very good one) handle Level 6 spawns very well, Just need to drag the monsters off one at a time, It can get tricky with 2 Ancient Wyrms, but apart from that it can be quite easy,
