diff types of blackrock????

Will there be any difference in the types of blackrock you turn in/carry?
As of now we have the large pieces that were mined (insurable), the small pieces that can still be got by mining (insurable)and then the pieces fom the rift guardians (non insurable). Can we get any explantion prior to the event?
