Did not Gargoyles used to be able to open doors?

I swear that I used to remember that gargoyles used to be able to open doors. This is why I used to lure them all away from the Balron room since they would just open the door and I would end up fizzling all the time.

But yesterday I lured them all away, but one came back and I just stayed aggro outside the door. Am I losing it or has something changed?

Hi - and yes, I noticed the change too. Gargoyles can no longer open doors, which is fine by me. The ones in the balron room on Hythloth 4 were always opening the door for their pal the balron before I was ready. Woot for gargoyles losing their opposible thumbs.

Cool I feel better now, yes I agree this is not something I am complaining about.
