Hello.. returning player.

Wish I had read these forums before having a go on training my pets.
Had a near perfect Ki Rin 4.6 that I think I have messed up bad I regret some of the choices..
my real question is kindof is there any monster where I can guage the strength of my kirin and see if it is just horrible?...
took me ages back in the day to finally get a near perfect one :(

Also have a 4.X reptalon that is 4 slot.. I understand now that I should have released and retamed it to have it become 3 slot? I need to go out on a hunt once again for a good reptalon as well :(

What do you think is wrong with it?

Take it to the Chaos Balrons until a paragon pops up. That will tell you how it can give and take damage.

I have never seen Steal Life do much.

Oh, you set the cold and poison resist to 80 and fire is at start value.

Yes the fire resist.. also life leech as you said seems useless
it took 20minutes to kill a paragon balrog.. my GD killed one in 11minutes in comparison.. thanks for clearing my head :( will use those as a test from now on.

Yes. They give fame and karma. They make a good test target. They are alone and they re spawn fast. Plus you get a paragon to test the pet with.

Ki Rins are tough to train the first stage. They also do not have enough points to add scrolls and make a good pet.

It's ok bud. It may be your first but promise you it's not your last. Mistakes happen. Welcome to the club.
It being a 4.6, trust me I do feel your pain. The only thing you can't do this one is fight fire damage mobs.

I actually got enough points left to go with one of the below.. the first one feels kinda less viable since I messed up the resists.
