First off...THIS IS NOT A RANT. Its simply facts being presented in a comical way. While I enjoyed getting 125k free points for my account I kind of feel its a little insane. I mean, they made Sea Horses and Anchors worth 25k points (not that anyone in their right minds would turn them in for that), and now they are just throwing 25k free points at anyone that can find a dungeon and throw a pot. As this journal shows you don't even have to be good at either of those...

Without further ado I present "Diary of a Newb".

This one lays out the back story of what I'm attempting to accomplish.

Thank you awesome people on Legends for ressing me although I was named in such a fashion.

Woot....now if points were still worth anything I'd have something to brag about. I guess if I make enough newbs I can always save up.

Remember how everyone was complaining about the Glow rift being waay too hard for mid-range characters? Hate to say this but I agree, most people will never be happy. What does it matter if everyone can get the clean up rewards? The only reason I can see anyone being mad is if they spent the 1 to 2 mil per 10k ticket in the begginng.

well, obviously i don't see how other people being able to get points easily stops you from also getting points easily. i also don't see how it makes the rewards any less useful--less special, perhaps. what's the difference between a dozen people running around with those awful sorcerer's suits, or a couple hundred people? it doesn't make the suit any less useful. again, less special..sure.

and i wouldn't have rez'd you. i hate seeing people with names such as yours. personally, i've only done the quest a single time.

I actually like the ease of points gathering for these quests. I have 4 accounts and was able to do both parts of these quest will all chars thanks to those explosion pots. And ya know it was still pretty darn fun doing it on every character. I have also been able to xshard points with some of my more trusted trading buddies. As far as the new accounts go well so be it. This turn in could never happen again for these items so get them while you can. Maybe a few will slip up canceling the new accounts and give our little game a few extra bucks. Maybe some have been debating opening a second account and this sealed the deal. Good for us either way. More money for UO = more UO for me. Oh and I'll be happy to take any of those "worthless" points you don't want... cloaks too (they are PoF proof).

p.s. Any of you evil doers want to xshard points with me (I'm on cats) pm me and I'll see if I have any chars left on your shard. But be quick, we only have a few days until the devs ruin our evil plans to devalue the points of the virtuous orc mask farmers.
