My greater dragon starter with 66 dex. It was doing ogre lords, seems like I blinked and it was 91 dex. Went to the Gauntlet for an hour and now it is 125 dex. Did they change the STAT gain rate? Used to be you had to max out the wrestling etc skill first before the stats started to go up.

Yes, that got changed when they did the change on how players gain stats. Don't know if it was on purpose or just a side effect of the player change. It seems once all the pets mele skills get near 90 that the stats take off. I have no hard numbers on this just a passing observation.

The only pet I've trained recently was one of the new dragons, but it gained dex very fast.

i'm not positive, but I truly believe it has to do with 100+ in a skill, the same for us characters. when you gain skills, you have a limited chance, maybe every .6 gained or so (something like that), until you hit 100. when you hit 100, every .1 gives a chance for stat gain. so once your pet has 100 in wrestling, for example, it will hit 125 very fast. and if your dragon started with 100+ in wrestling, well, ;P
