Devs Most Imporant thing this month Halloween

I am looking forward for a chance to earn another installation of the Conjurer's line. Maybe a Conjurer's Sash or a pair of Conjurer's Earrings? There will have to be a gargish equivalent this year as well.

I hope its like last year with stuff to do on all levels from lizard men having the cat statues and banners to the boss like monsters. And of course trick or treating.
I thought last years events were one of the better set ups in a long time.
I think it was the most entertaining and rewarding event ever even if we had some other great halloween events latest years!

How about Conjurer's Sandals? A relatively useless slot, and they could be altered to become Garg talon pads...
Ive been wondering about this too. I always play uo a decent amount during the halloween stuff because its usually pretty fun.
However, i have to say that last years was Terrible. Grinding out a quest to grind out chances at rewards... And the greed associated with the more uncommon costumes. Really, it was horrible. The begging stuff was ok tho.
Halloween 2 years ago was great, with the quest that was done Excellently in my opinion. There was tons to do. You had a choice of Killing the Skeletol liches, (i loved the challenge of soloing them in fel where they werent surrounded by a bijillion trammies) or the quest chain that got you into the spider monster area. Both were fun, and challenging.
The one before that was also really fun, with the grim reaper terrorizing everyone and chasing them around.
Of course these werent for new players, but really even a partial trained character could participate. And hey, for the day old player, well youve got trick-or-treating and pumpkin picking.
Devs please dont even bother with halloween if its going to be a boring grind fest like last year!

Last years was great fun! I think you are in the minority in your opinion on that one.
Last years Halloween event was the most fun I have had in UO for as long as I can remember, I don't know how they can top that.
They could change it a bit, new rewards or something and I'd probably be very happy. I still have about 100 cats in a box somewhere...

Really, was running the same quest over and over and over (you had to do it at about 90 times to get 1 luck garb) really fun? To each their own i guess. Personally i did the quest a few times, got bored of it and rather had stared at a wall than turn into that little stupid troll again. Worst halloween ever. Zero effort from the devs to make any sort of solid story line. Horrible. Really, the only "Fun" and i use that word very loosely, was buying the garbs when the were cheap and then making a few hundred mill off them. And (again buying) the yellow crystals just to kill golem wackers in luna or new players in haven. The costumes were appropiate i guess, but the randomness was horrible. And really the only reason most did it was a chance at the rare ones they could sell. No battling horrific ghoulish monsters, no story, just running around low level dungeons as a stupid troll. Not even exploding Jackolanterns like in previous years.

Yes they are. But they are too involved with STAR WARS at this point, not to mention those REAL Bioware people (the ones who were part of Bioware before the merger) are located in another part of the country from Mythic offices.
Actually my memory is a little fuzzy, ok a lot fuzzy, but I'm not sure I did most of that quest on my tamer. If I did I did it without pets. It was great fun, and the reward for doing it rocked. Even the harbingers were pretty pointless to attack with pets. I did last year's event on my stealth archer and had great fun.

I was inferring jokingly that most tamers love a mindless grind. Did you do the last two or three halloween events in previous years? Compared to last year there was Alot more to them.
Yes, taming does take more patience than most of the other skills, especially if you are going to excel.
And I wasn't around for the previous two years, and don't remember the events previous to that.

And halloween is so worth doing because you cant get any of the monsters drops for under 10k.

100% agree with this. Maybe a Conjurer Sash that's very dexxer related since we have one with LRC on it? Earrings with some other mods besides night sight would be bad ass too. The book/talisman event was so great and by far my favorite.

Each of the last five Halloween events had their own special draw for different player types, and best of all you did not have to be all scrolled out to participate.
Its probably a bit late to be brain storming about what kind of rewards would be cool, experience tells me that something should already be in the works, but in the category of ancillary slots left uncovered by conjurers garb. Cloaks, wing armor is especially devoid of content, earrings, boots (okay so we have providence sandals, but we could use choices here)
Most importantly, to me, is the fact that Halloween events usually seem to be a kind of testing ground for systems that might make it into the game over the next year. I certainly wont insist on a Thanksgiving event. It is mostly a USA holiday, with limited appeal on a global basis, but last years turkey hunting was fun and I still have a few maps and fragments. I wouldn't mind if they just turned it all on again.
I do wish we would see a durability fix for the handheld costumes and I thought it was a super neat idea for a fun, but not overpowering reward. Even if we just got a test shard where the team could freewheel ideas without having to worry about what gets broke on live servers I would be happy. Course momentos are appreciated.
In light of some requests within the past couple of months I would also point out that ML content is now available to all, and it might be cool to incorporate some of these more difficult to get to high end items (resource gems, boss ingredients) into a limited availability event.
Christmas, hmmm, well now might be a good time to begin looking at fixes for decoration items that are not working properly, and begin thinking about virtuous deeds and a spirit of brotherly and sisterly love for our communities, and helping our neighbors?
Oh and could we please, please, please, take a look at the scale on solstice candles? Please? They are just huge.
