DEVS: Luck-Party Luck, How Does This Work?

Hello,

It is getting old not being able to find nor ever being certain of how the luck system works now (hell, how it ever worked). There are equations that show how luck is calculated, there are theories how luck is applied solo, but nothing concrete, especially when it comes to party luck.

Could someone please take the time out of their busy work schedule with Ultima Online and explain to us how luck works?

Some questions many of us have (players-feel free to add more questions but lets leave the input up to a developer(s)):

::::::::::::::How is luck applied when in a party?::::::::::::::

-Does luck roll apply to highest damage dealer in party?
-Does luck roll apply to highest luck player in party?
-Does luck roll get averaged out over entire parties luck? (Even if just one damage dealer?) if so (what about more than one damage dealer?)
-Does having really high luck in Shame/Covetous with the new loot system have some negative effects? I.e. Higher end monsters-High/Low luck?
-Being bards have buffs with their mastery in party, does this in any way mess with the luck system?
-If a bard is discording a target, but not doing any damage-Does the luck roll apply to them?

I believe this is how it was explained a long time ago. Seeing as loot is so random, there is no viable was to test this.

-If a bard is discording a target, but not doing any damage-Does the luck roll apply to them?
The act of discording a monster does not grant looting rights, so I believe this would have no bearing on the luck roll. The only factor would be if the bard is in the party (if so see above).

Does discording a monster not only nerf the monster, but its potential loot as well? Yes would love to see discorders get their fair share of credit in bringing down the monster and share in the loot too.

Luck has nothing to do with looting rights The more luck you have the better chance you have getting more and better weapons, armor, jewelry if your out hunting on your own.
plus
Now if you are going out hunting in a party with players who have luck. The luck is divide between all the players, not sure if its equally divided. You go and do a peerless the player with the best luck suit will have more of chance of getting a crimson, or special item than you will if the party is dropped right before the peerless boss is killed.
best time to use luck suits is doing peerless bosses, Doom, or anything where you will have a chance to get a special item. More luck you have the better.

I have always understood that loot is calculated in total for any given mob based on ghe number of players who get looting rights... and is the split into the instanced corpses for looting purposes. Based on that I believe the luck value selected is a random selection from those who have done enough damage to secure looting rights. It is not an average... If 10 people get looting rights the system randomly selects 1 person and calculates the loot based on that persons luck. This happens regardless of party/not partied. How that luck value actually gets applied to the loot is a different issue, but that is how the system decides what luck value to use in the calculation.

Each item in drop uses luck roll from random player with looting rights, even if this item belongs to others private loot. Its how me remember last explanation.

Revamp dungeons Luck improves the QUALITY. So yes the higher the luck the better the quality of loot. The greater the chance the items will have more neg mods. In revamp dungeons the luck is a random player's luck of a group that got looting rights. More luck so more chances at uber loot with loads of neg mods.

Other hunting areas luck is used for loots QUANITY. With the death of party hunting. There has been less a need to know a meatshield tamer with luck maxed out. More luck so more loot for chances at high end loot.

Story, While in XoDus DUngeon hunting keys. Discoed a critter a fighter was having issues with. All I did and got a key drop.
