When will you allow Stable Fees to be taken out of a check?
It can't be that hard to setup can it?
It's a simple little thing that would make players happier. Isn't that what it's all about?
Having to cash out a 1,000,000 gold check so I can pay this guy his 30 gold seems a little silly, don't you agree?
Not really. It's because the amount is under 2,000 gold pieces, if anything you buy is over 2,000 gp worth, the vendor will automatically take it out of your bank box. For small insignificant items and stable fees, they decided it would be better to implement it so that you either had to have gold in your bank box or backpack.
It slows down scripters buying up magery/necromancy reagents, and other items which can be built up, as they then have to have the gold available in their backpack which necessitates an extra small but vital delay. I vote NO to having the gold drawn out of checks in your bankbox for things as insignificant as stabling a pet.
Any time the game has to make a decision as to where gold for a particular item or action will come from represents extra processing time on the servers, and this in turn means that there is extra load on the servers backend systems serving this to us. I'm pretty sure the EA/Mythic devs won't be doing anything which would increase server load.
It's much easier for players to go out and kill a mongbat or a skittering hopper and get gold for stabling pets - or to simply say 'withdraw X' on a macro key assignment, where X is a common amount players would normally find desirable for small purchases under 2,000 gp worth.
