DEVS: Haochi's Pigments (A Warning)

So I picked up a couple of the tokens today, and to my disbelief (/sarcasm rolleyes:) The $3x3 I spent on the dyes was pretty much WASTED.

I am rather annoyed that things like "Night Eyes" can't be dyed by Tokuno dyes OR Haochi's pigments.

Also, the Conjurer's Robe from last Halloween is the same. Can't be dyed. It gives me some error about only being able to dye artifacts and enhanced magical items with it.

The ironic part is that the Haochi's Pigments dyed my Channeler's Defender, which is neither an Artifact nor enhanced. It also dyed my Wing Armor of Rejuvenation, which... also is neither an artifact nor enhanced.

If I pay $4 for dye at least make it usable on freakin items! I could go as far as saying if I give you $4 for some dye it should dye anything I want it to, including and up to my own underpants!

I guess this goes to show me that I shouldn't spend money on crap from uogamecodes.

I dyed my Conjuror's garb (maybe not the robe you are referreing to) with an ordinary dye tub...

Its the ways pigments have always worked. Artifacts and enhanced items only.

I, for one, am glad that you can't dye the conjurer's garb in ugly neon colours (regular dye tub aside).

I sent in Feedback through UOHerald.com about the dyes not being as good as the natural dyes because they ONLY dye artifacts and enhanced items BEFORE THEY WENT ON SALE.

Geez Louise we asked for years for Tokuno dyes to be able to dye unenhanced and cloth items and I even asked again during the SA beta and was told by a beta participant to wait for SA natural dyes to come out.

They thought that I'd be happy with those, and I am, since they can dye many many things.

Just in case an EA employee reads this:

The problem with Tokuno dyes and now the for sale for cash only Haochi dyes is we can't get all pieces of our gear to match because of the restrictions Tokuno dyes *edit: and now the new Haochi pigments* are under.

These dyes:

Won't dye cloth items (cloaks, etc)
Won't dye items made of plain leather
Won't dye items made of plain iron
Won't dye items made of plain wood

Natural dyes WILL DYE ALL OF THOSE with a few exceptions, like some of the snake skin boots refuse to be dyed (I heard it's the green ones).

We don't have to pay cash for natural dyes to get our outfits to match, we can make those ingame ourselves.

Whose arm can I twist to GIVE EA SOME MORE OF MY MONEY (for some pink Haochi pigment that might actually dye my whole outfit)?

Did you even read my post?

It dyes some non artifact/non enhanced items, and doesn't dye others.

Personally, if I pay $4 for a dye, like I said, it should dye anything I want. Although I agree about neon colors, I hardly find any of the Haochi's Pigments eye shattering, and the only ones I have are Ghost Grey and Smoky Gold.

This is my point too.

On top of that the tip that says "Only works on artifacts and enhanced items." is obviously a lie.

As I posted in my OP, I could dye my glass Channeler's Sword but could not dye my Conjurer's Garb. Neither of those are artifacts or "enhanced" (assuming enhanced means enhanced through smithing/tailoring with special materials?)

Eh, it was 9$ wasted, and I probably won't buy anything else from uogamecodes because of it. First time using the store for in game items and it left a sour taste in my mouth.

I posted about this issue a couple weeks ago. You can dye the Ranger's Cloak of Augmentation, but not the Conjurer's Garb. Can anyone tell me how the Cloak is considered an artifact while the Garb isn't? It is annoying to spend $9 and I can't dye the robe that all of my toons wear :sad4:. We need a fix. Let us dye the Conjurer's Garb with the dyes at least. :gun:

Oh and enhanced doesn't really mean enhanced. I was able to dye normal armor pieces that were crafted out of special material. Just incase anyone cares to know ;).

I'm pretty annoyed I just spent 30 dollars in pigments for me and my wife and it don't dye half the items we wear! I don't read stratics much so I was unaware of only certain arties being dyeable. Lesson learned read stratics more! Had I of known this I def wouldn't of wasted 30 bucks in dyes. Plant dyes that are cheap and dye almost anything compared to pigments which are nearly 11 bucks for 3 dyes and only dye certain items ..oh the logic there

Not everything with mods is considered an artifact and visa-versa. Buyer beware, you bought something without researching it very well. Surprise surprise, you're unhappy with your purchase.

Just means they forgot to slip in the appropriate "artifact" tag on the item.

Well then they need to slip it on the Garb. I can't imagine it taking more then 2 seconds to change. It's the only thing that is throwing off my look now and it's the best robe and I can't use another one :(.

bottom line: if someone spends $30 on dyes, they should be able to dye what they want

Epic. Where do you get that picture of my bro? he ACTUALLY make the whole suite himself

Thunderz
Who cares about the weight issues, that's pretty kickass if he did that himself. Hardly a "FAIL" in my books.

(Not that I would walk around town wearing that, but I might certainly use it for a Halloween bash... :) )

bottom line, if someone doesn't take the 5 mins it takes to actually research or ask, they deserve nothing.

It was advertised as being just like ToK, Looks just like ToK dyes, and I think It was on TC once upon a time ago, though that might not be true.

In fact... taking the time to ask would have stopped any problems. Just because an item is a 'lot' of money doesn't mean it's the cure all. Things are over priced an expensive so you really have no valid point.

Heh...

I wasn't particularly referring to his proportions, rather that the chainmail wasn't an "interesting" colour ;)

Still, I bet it's a named chainmail tunic of "I got it on, but how the hell do I get it off". :D

That's gotta be worth some relic fragments?
