Devs, Give us a way to get the dye Hex code from dyed clothing please!

One thing that has always annoyed me is when im making things such as uniforms or various clothing and I want to use a specific colour what ive used before but I cant find the dye tub!

As far as I know there is no way to get the hue of something without using 3rd party illegal scripts which I dont want to do.

Would be great if you could implement a system were you can buy something from the tailors which samples the coloured clothing and allows you to dye a dye tub with it.

Ofcourse there is going to need to be some limitations to prevent the mass production of Gold cloth for example.

If there is a way to do this I apologise about posting this but I dont know a method as of yet!

I know of a way!

Take a screen shot, and open it up in Adobe Photoshop (Elements might have this ability, I'm not sure.) You can then use the dropper tool to "sample" the hue you're looking for. Then you should be able to easily get the hex code from the program.

If you don't have photoshop, you can try posting a screenshot here, and I can see if I can remember how to get the hex code.

Find an old uniform item and recycle it. Then start dyeing other cloth till it stacks with the recycled uniform color. 3d dye tub window was another thing I miss about it

Yeah I guess this could work, a lot of un-needed effort though if we just had a simple system that lets us get the dye colour
