Devs : Alacrity Scrolls

I would like to propose the following changes to alacrity scrolls :

1 - If you use an alacrity scroll it refreshes your 'ggs' timer so you at least get 1 gain in your 15 min.

2 - They should drop at Tokuno and Ilsh champ spawns.

3 - Remove from the turn in and add something else


These are consumable and are not overpowering. They should be available on a regular basis and the champ spawns are a perfect place to do this. It would give people a reason to do tram based champs.

Also for hard skills like poisoning- you may only get your ggs and then nothing over the 15 min. If you force ggs to restart, then for each scroll at least you get a single gain (that might be .2-.5). That way if you have 2-3 of these scrolls you could at least gain .6 or so in 45 min of use. Otherwise you have wait till its your GGS time to use them.

[/ QUOTE ]since it's a consumable item, that wouldn't be widely available, even if it were on Tokuno/Ilshenar champ spawns, I agree. Especially since you might still only get a 0.2 gain.

[/ QUOTE ]Again, agreed. Unless, the turn-in will be broadened to allow other things to be turned in, in future, with Alacrity Scrolls among the rewards. Otherwise, their availability will either be too limited, or too many, resulting in no one claiming them, leading to the availability drying up.

I'll sign if you take off #3. Who cares if they are part of the turn in event? You don't have to chose that specific item if you don't want one.

I believe the OP is saying that if they remove Alacrity scrolls from the turn-in, they should replace it with something else (I wouldn't mind more tokuno dyes in more shades... helm of insight blue anyone?). And I agree with this.

However, if the OP is saying they should just remove Alacrity scrolls from the turn-in and not do anything else, then I disagree.

My only beef with the alacrity scrolls and the turn ins in the randomness. And that depends on how many points they take too, I guess. But as was said earlier. you don't have to pick that particular item.

I think there needs to be something random for the people with near-infinite items to turn in to burn off their surplus once they have everything else (I'm not one of those people, but I'm sure they exist), although I do think they would make a nice drop for some lower-end champion (although I wouldn't mind also seeing the New Haven quests expanded to include quests across the land for various ranges between 50 and 100).

You want random? Give a random dye instead. As another poster suggested. That would be a good one.

My point was that alacrity scrolls are a perfect tram champ addition and just like powerscrolls in fel - it should be the only place to get them.

By putting them in the game on a permenant basis, the turn in version should be replaced by something else more interesting like dyes, or something like that.

We've all seen the potential, though, for what well crafted skill guide quests could do for players further down the road. For now, though, our main focus is still new players and their characters.

I have to agree 100% with you. I would love to have some more alacrity scrolls but I am not going to waste points on a chance for one I need.
Not everyone was around for the ophidians and rat coins so we will have to be careful with spending our points.
And with my luck all my rubble,shields,swords will be 1 point each. lol maybe I can get a t shirt

adding them to tok/ish champs makes too much sense to do it therefore it wont be done

There is some type of problem adding rewards to the Illshenar and Tokuno champ spawns. That's the only thing that makes sense after all the years of them not being utilized to perform this function in the past.

Also I agree about them being a reward. Either nobody will bother with them because they want new items, making them a pointless choice anyway, or people will claim heaps of them. TBH the worst bit is you can't choose the skill, which makes it more of a lottery than a reward.

It does, though, depend on how many points one scroll would cost. TBH I think it should just be something more commemorative, rather than giving us something that has already dropped once before!

For some skills that take FOREVER to GM like Lockpicking, some people used a Scroll of Alacrity for their Guaranteed Gain, as soon as they get it, they log out until they can get another Guaranteed Gain. Timer on Alacrity Scroll doesn't run down when you are logged out.

Make Alacrity Scrolls drop at Ilsh Champs. Tokuno Minors drop from 3rd+ Tier Tokuno Champ, and Tokuno Major Arties (With the old Tokuno Dyes) drop from Serado the Awakened (The Champ of the Tokuno Champ Spawn.)
