Thinly populated shard here. A real person can resurrect a pet immediately. There is no purpose for having a townie vet have a long long delay before a resurrection can be performed. There's a fine line between "magical world has strange rules" and "developer in Virginia is messing with us" and this one crosses it.

Developers, PLEASE reduce resurrection delay from townie vet

it should be something like: 5k gold per follower slot of the pet, and no waiting timer to get your pet ressed if it's ressed at the npc vet.
I never understood why they'd have cooldowns or restrictions on any form of "goldsinks", like with the adding/removing "Mage Armor" from non-medable armor types. at 250k per removal/addition, you'd think you could add/remove as you please.
