Dev´s: can we please trade/change old rewards ?

would be nice if we could have a trade box to get a new something more usefull reward

I like this idea. Maybe the reward box used for the robes could work differently. Perhaps drop in a reward and a gump comes up asking what you would like in exchange.

How about an upgrade for those robes? They don't need to be made ridiculously powerful, but an upgrade from 3 phys resist would be a good thing. Something like 2 damage eater for all of the resists? I don't think that would be overpowering, but it would make the robes useful.

I wouldn't be opposed to a trade of some sort, but I don't think a 1-to-1 trade of something rather useless to something useful would be entirely appropriate.

Three or five of the old robes/cloaks for a newer and more useful item, or something like that perhaps.

Also the reward you trade for should be a reward from the same year category. As in no trading in a reward from year 1 for a reward in year 5. Only fair.

Nah. They were picked and had a use. I see no point in gobbling up 100 robes to get 100 of something else.

Thats what your yearly award choices are for... to pick something new.

Yes, it does matter. You shouldn't be getting your choice of vet rewards with someone else pick, regardless if you payed for it or not. You only get a limited amount of vet rewards based on your account age and it should stay that way.

And a 5 year vet reward traded in should only give you an option for 5th year rewards. You put your pick in for a certain year then it's your loss if you regret picking something for the year category.

They are a vet. If they are 12years and they turn in a 1yr vet reward then they should be able to pick anything. It is their choice, not yours and what they decide to pick is of no concern to you or anyone else. And if they feel they should pick a 1st year vet reward because they turned a 1st year one in then let them. If they want to pick something else then they can pick something else. Its not like the vet reward is going to come after you and disrupt your game play.

nah but seriously, i think it might help clean out the server a bit
Over the years i have collected countless cloaks, robes and dyetubs of IDOC houses or friends that quit.

Usually i try to sell them, but there is only so many black dyetubs needed.

If i could trade them in for something usefull, like a couple more cacti, i would be happy

What about system like scroll binders but for vet rewards? You may bind 10x 1st year rewards for selection of ONE 1-2 year reward.
So you can trade 5 black tubs and 5 bronze robes to one red soulstone or leather dye tub for example.

+3 robes and cloacks was worthy in the past,now they are nothing more then floorcloth

not the player made them trash,the devs

all those suggestions like trade 10:1 ratio or 5y reward for 5y reward.....

Why not set it up so that the year of the Vet Reward is the value of the Vet Reward; you can only purchase a Vet Reward that you're eligible to choose; and the cost of each item is double it's year.

So a 1st year reward = 1 point. To buy a 1st year reward = 2 points. To purchase 4th year reward = 8 points. Et cetera.

So you could effectively buy a 4th year reward with 8 1st years, 4 2nd years, a 2 3rd years and a 2nd, or whatever.

This way there's some "sink" value to it, but reasonable for the return.

I agree. I have some accounts that are no longer active, but I kept the rewards. I can't believe how much fuss people are making over this.

I could see some sort of Point System being involved to turn in and acquiring a new vet reward. Something along the lines of the Spring Cleaning or Halloween Mask turn in Point Systems. Older vet rewards = higher the point value for turn in. It would have to be some sort of higher cost exchange rate as well, not a 1-1 exchange rate or it would get out of control. Only being able to acquire a vet reward that is equal to your account age or younger would be the best way to go as well.
There is a grip of Statues/Dye Tubs/Etc. out there on all shards for less than 100k that it would clean up the game immensely and would also result in an increase in the value of vet rewards.
