Despise Phantoms bugged?

I have been running Despise alot and basicly every run we do one person has a phantom so we can discord the boss. Its seems about only half the time a level 15 Phantom will not use its bard skill on the boss.
Has this been happening to anyone else? This is on the Catskills shard and happends alot.
Or are we just doing something wrong so that it only works about half the time?

The Phantom has to be the main target for it to use its discord skill. If the boss is targetting something else the phantom will not use discord. What i do is set the Phantom on the boss first, then let everything else go on him.

Yep, took the words right out my mouth Winker. Most people dont realise this and its bloody anoying to spend 30 mins killing the boss when i could be done in 15 as the phantom is doing nothing, if people listern when asked to put there pet on defensive so the Phantom can get agro. Most just ignore you and its probably greed, they wana kill kill kill and get there damage in as they think the more damage they do they'll get the better chance at the drop ROFL. Even though it is random to anyone who gets looting rights.

I had a nice experience that proved this, I died to the wisp while the boss was at 50% got out ressed started training a pet for the nxet run and BAM had a quiver drop in my pack 10 mins later

That is why, I just take a character down that has Discord, then I can disco the boss myself and not have to worry about the order of the pets attacking him.
