I recently tried despise the first time after the revamp. Well, overall it's a nice idea, but the pets all take the fun out of it.
1.) Pathfinding
Why do pets have to be that stupid? They get stuck at every second rock or corner? Granted, in combat they're a tad more intelligent and find their way around small obstacles. But running around out of combat with your pet is definitely no fun. Why can't pets be as intelligent as monsters when it comes to pathfinding?
2.) Pet speed
Why can't my pet keep up with me? Ok, if it's in combat, there might be some objections, but out of combat, why do I have to wait for it? It's annoying, always having to wait for it. And if you take a look at the monsters on convetus lev. 3, they sure can move damn fast. So it can't be that big of an issue.
3.) Obeying to commands
Sometimes the pet is stuck. You have to play around with defensive/aggressive stances and different anchors to get it moving again. This sometimes can increase waiting times massively.
And if a pet gets attacked, most of the time it runs towards the attacker, even if it's anchored to me and set to defensive. It's so annoying if your pet dies, just because it won't obey your commands and pulls one mob after the other...
The best gameplay can be destroyed by bad usability. And when looking at despise, usability is definitely not on par with gameplay.
P.S.: If these issues also apply to ordinary pets, i.e. those from tamers, you should consider fixing those issues as well, especially since you announced a pet revamp recently.
