Here is a list of possible alternative rewards for the Moonglow Turn in:

1) A wall shield w/ Coat of Arms, that says "Valient Defender of Moonglow"
2) A Ethreal Mount that is a "Dark Steed" not see thru
3) A Ethreal Mount that is a "Silver Steed" not see thru
4) A hooded Cloak that has a constant swirl effect on it. Kind of like a spell particle effect, no mods.
5) Seeds to grow Palm Trees-Fig Trees and others
6) Display cases that are usable
7) FILLED BOOKCASES--only been asked for for 10 years.
8) Permanent title on Character "Defender of Moonglow"
9) Moonglow Dyes special colors for Moonglow

Just a start with out much thought.

While the bless deed would effect game balance, the toast or the ship would not. I dont feel any of my list would cause inbalance.


Now if the toast had Jam as well that would cause inbalance as sticky fingers cant work a mouse as well.

I think some of these things fall in line with one of my posts in the pub 52 thread. I'd just like a souvenir or two that I can look back and remember that I was a part of this event. No mods needed, just something I can hang up in my house or wear...

Same way amusement parks work. I just want something I can take with me.

I would prefer that anyone who participated in the event could get one of these objects, so I would make it a low trade in... but I would be willing to trade one of my cloaks of corruption as proof that I aided in Moonglow's defense.

Plus, you know... I can use it in Fel.

Put the buttered toast under a large crate propped up by a stick. I'll tie a Thread of Fate to the stick and go hide behind a tree and wait....

At one time I would have given everything I owned and rebuilt if I was able to get filled bookcases to line the walls on my place. In ten years not once did a Dev explain why we could not have them and still we dont have them.

People remember the Silver Steeds and I forget what the evil one was called. This event would have been perfect for bringing them on as Ethreals and Karma based.

I imagine a small group of UO players could make intelligent suggestions of items as rewards that would embarass the list that we were given.

How about a spell book or magical hat that says your character name on it with something about surviving the Moonglow madness or something on it. I remember winning the Treasure Hunting Guide contest many years ago and getting a custom spellbook with my characters name on it. That was freaking sweet...unfortuately when one of my houses fell in one of my absences over the years it was lost.

LOL! How ironic, I got a Thread of Life that tells me "You die."

Well, we could always stuff a fetid essence into a bottle and rename it into a 'can of pringles' that bursts open and makes the essence appear.

...a whole list of ironic rewards...not really...

1. Vine cord sandals that glue the player to the floor randomly, and run off on their own, returning to kick you and laugh maniacally.

2. Blackrock infected statuettes.

3. Dancing legacy imps or mongbats; house deco.

4. A robe with a hood that we can actually dye, that isn't for elves only. Use a gump to let us pick what valiant, evil, or random saying from a list of choices.

5. House deco depicting great moments in history, or conversely, funny moments in history. (LB dying in beta, ophidian invasion, terathan invasion, ect.)

6. A sherry the mouse statuette that actually learns your name and speaks to you intelligently about stuff (think: the old AI that allowed you to ask npcs questions and get answers)...

7. a very large undo button that you can use in case you dye the wrong thing or re-name the wrong runebook.

8. I am in agreement with the Silver Steed ethy idea.

9. an, "Abyss Shard Veteran" set of clothing.

10. Ethereal weapon/armor dye.

11. Statues of famous Game Masters (Cochese).

12. Unique runebooks with hued text commending the player, cannot be renamed.

13. Valiant Player House Marker, would end up looking like such after applied to a house:

Owned by (Name), Valiant Defender of Britannia

14. Armor Engraving Tool, limited use, drops either user-imput text or a set line of text from a gump.

15. Shadowlord statuette, "an imprisoned shadowlord defeated by (character name)"

I tried throwing forth the title thing for the mag invasion, still think it is a good idea, with rankings based on whatever you think would be appropriate. Probably not happening. As for items, if there isn't there should be a listing somewhere for UO to suggest items to introduce as a whole. With a voting system that drops low votes out after a certain number of votes. Go jewelry box with bod type filter! Go bookcase that manages to put books in order! How about a runestone (large) for the house that holds 100 runes and can be charged with recall scrolls! There are literally thousands of things that people want and have wanted for ages more than say, sashes that don't say 'member of'. Item organizers are high on my list. Weapon rack with a filter, anyone?

Just a dyeable hooded shroud nothing on it not blessed but blessable with a clothing bless deed and maybe can also be dyed with tokuno dyes but would not have to have that option to still be cool.

Again because I am in favor of the idea. footwear EQUAL to VINECORD sandals!
