Deleting a character - how long till it's removed?

Filled up my five slots messing around with char creation on Pacific. I hit the delete button and it comes up with 'Irreversible ... ' warning. Click OK but they don't go away. I want to start with a new character. How long till the 'deleted' ones go away?

should be immediate, you have to wait till a character is 7 days old to delete it but once you do so, it should be gone.

Ah, that's the problem. I just created them today. Damn! Locked myself out of Pac for seven days then.
