About Defiance:

Defiance is a growing community that has it's roots in Planetside (1 and 2) and have decided to open up a Guild Wars 2 chapter. We have a long standing community with many active members that have enjoyed each others company across multiple games. Our leadership are even tempered and fair, we don't yell and scream at people like I am sure everyone has experienced.

While we have a good core of people we are looking to expand those numbers in Guild Wars 2 and bring a powerful force of players into WvW. We have opportunity for advancement for the right individuals as well. We pride ourselves on our teamwork and focused attitude towards gaming. Many of our leaders and members are prior military and we try to bring that sense of teamwork and dedication to whatever game we are playing.

Our GW2 Mission:

The mission of Defiance in Guild Wars 2 will be to become the top guild for World vs World on our server. Our guilds background is heavily focused in organized pvp in Planetside / Planetside 2. We are looking to build the strongest possible fighting force to ensure that Darkhaven is routinely at the top of server ladder. Join us and bring glory to Darkhaven! We also plan to become involved in any endgame progression raiding/dungeons that come up of course. Though the focus of the Guild will remain on World vs World as the primary.

Recruitment Status:

At this time we are quite hopeful that ArenaNet's plan of getting rid of the "unholy trinity" will be successful. We are openly recruiting all classes and roles at this time. We are looking for all types of players from hardcore to casual. Defiance is first and foremost a community and we look forward to working and playing with anyone who wants to carry our flag into combat. We are looking for a range of players from hardcore to casual and from dungeon runners to elite pvpers.

How to Join:

To join Defiance go to our website, Defiance Gaming Community - Guild website - Home and register with the website. There is a short registration form/application to fill out. Once you put this in if you are not using an existing Enjin account make sure that you verify your email with Enjin so that we get your registration form.

Defiance is focused on becoming the premier World vs World guild on our server; Darkhaven. We are looking for all catagories of players from crafters and merchants to dungeon runners and questers as well as strong PvPers. Here at Defiance we understand that the core of any group is the support that holds it up. Our leadership's background in the real military gives us an interesting insight on this. In the real military only about 20% is actually what are considered "combat" soldiers and it works. It works because you need that support.
Defiance is recruiting for all types of players both PvP and non-PvP. If you join up as a non-PvP member there won't be any sort of negativity or pressure towards you to PvP unlike a lot of guilds. We will embrace you for your company and what you do bring to the guild.

Defiance is growing everyday. We have become World vs World focused and are gearing up to be the premier World vs World guild on the Darkhaven server. We are looking for people to join us and get in the ground floor of what will become one of the best World vs World guilds on Darkhaven. This of course doesn't mean that we won't be crafting or running dungeons as well and in fact we encourage people that are interested in other things to join us.

Defiance is recruiting for World vs World!! We are still looking for a few more quality gamers to round out our team. Defiance is focused on organized and team based play to overcome the enemy. We are excited for guild wars 2 because the world vs world vs world pvp system will allow us to do just that. We also plan on participating in 5v5 pvp tournaments and possibly hosting some as well :). Anyways if you are looking for a great home you should definitely check out Defiance.

Defiance is excited for release of Guild Wars 2 tonight. We have a lot of new things going on over at Defiance. Check us out at Defiance Gaming Community - Guild website - Home we have a new teamspeak which once our non-profit application goes through with Teamspeak will be able to hold 1000 members. It is nicely being hosted through by one of our officers at his datacenter. We have a lot of new members in preparation for the release of Guild Wars 2 we are close to rounding the 50 member mark pre-launch. This of course is in addition to our 70 member Planetside 2 element.

Last night was a huge success!! We got in right away with enough people to rush through pool our copper and secure the name Defiance! I would like to thank everyone who made sure to be online for that.

Since then we have worked hard at getting people into the guild as they come online for the first time and also have been working on recruiting in game and getting our name out. As you can see we are still short people who haven't even made it in game yet but we are solid and strong already. (Note in GW2 membership is by account so the 37 includes zero alts).




People are quite active which is great and we have a lot of people dedicating themselves to leveling on the cutting edge of the time curve. Thank you everyone for your great work!

Defiance is growing and going strong last night we dominated in World vs World last night. We are excited for this game and are looking forward to getting more people in. We have grown more and gotten more of our members into game. Our Current member count is now 45.

Defiance has grown to over 70 active members now and is looking for more. Our goal is to be able to have our own front on the battlefield in WvW without needing to have the support of the server. This doesn't seem to matter that much as the server has developed the habit of following our WvW team anyways :).

Defiance has been taking and claiming everything from supply depots to keeps and then fully upgrading them. This has developed into a good reputation and name with the server. Come help us bring Defiance into a stronger leadership roll on Darkhaven. Join up today!

Defiance is still recruiting, we are looking to grow our WvW base by about another 50 active people and our PvE and social member base by another 80 or so. If you are interested in joining up with an organized, active, and established guild you should check us out.

We are closing in on the 100 member mark now which will be a good point for all of us. As you can see we also have gained our first two level 80 characters in the guild so congratulations to them. Defiance is also looking for smaller guilds for mergers so if you no longer want to go at it with just you and your couple friends look us up.

Defiance has been growing everyday and is now one of the leading guilds of the DHU Alliance. We have been engaging in quality World vs World every night from around 7pm EST until 10pm EST. Below is a video of Defiance leading an alliance WvW Raid on Eternal Battlegrounds, during this raid we totally dominated the battleground.
