Defensive Ability

Information provided at Evaluating Intelligence - UOGuide, the Ultima Online encyclopedia is somewhat misleading:

When combined with Anatomy, these two skills can be used to replace Wrestling or other melee skills for defense. At 100 in both you will have the equivalent of 120 in dodging skill.

* Formula: (Evaluating Intelligence + Anatomy + 20 ) / 2

Currently the formula only gives you 110 defensive ability for 100 in both. If the text is right, then the formula should look like:

(Evaluating Intelligence + Anatomy) / 2 + 20

And what if I have 120 each? Do I have 140 def. ability then or ist it capped at 120?


Now what does stratics say?

Having a high Anatomy and Evaluate Intelligence skill helps dodging blows in empty-handed combat.

Well, no formula at all. And what about empty-handed combat? Does that mean I cannot even equip a (spell)book, if I want to rely on this defensive ability?
