been doing this on siege with monster ignore its just an afk snooze fest. sit on top of her while my dragon kills her. solo without barding, but can take up to 30 minutes

Defeating Cora

My approach has been to dual client with my sampire honoring her then tanking while I park my bard inside the walls. The bard discos Cora then runs the resilience and perseverance bard songs (+ 22 regen, + 30% damage reduction). With the bard songs in effect for the sampire his leech/hpr is more than enough to stay alive without a healer.
ok how where yall killing her with out her doing 300 damage to you with 5/60 hit super fireballs she was hitting me with and my entire guild. we had 7 people down their 4 healers 2 dexxors and a tamer took us an hour to kill her discoed. and my thower did the most of the damage but she would randomly even being discoed kill us all with this super fireball. as she got lower on life the fireballs got weaker and she went down fast. and the 7 of us got nothing but cursed items.
As a few others mentioned, the more people within her line of sight and damage radius, the more fireballs she throws. So with 1 eligible person they get hit with 1 fireball. However, with 2 eligible people BOTH will get hit by 2 fireballs. With all 70 and no damage reduction those are 60 damage each, so with 2 people hitting her you are talking about 120 damage.
Personally I find it far more frustrating if more than 1 person attacks. Get 1 person who can pound out the damage and everyone else should be out her range as a healer or bard.

But it's amazing what happens when idiot tamers with their dragons show up thinking they are all that and then some- getting everyone killed. They don't care that they will get looting rights from just healing or the fact that a dexer can kill Cora 3x faster than their dragon(s). They want their dragons hitting on Cora.

This is one of the big drawbacks I seem from Cora... if a greifer is willing to die and has a bud to res him, they can keep even a good group from being able to kill her.
best way for a tamer to do cora is a mystic that goes stoneform and spam heals themselves with cleansing winds, it'll heal anyone in party too.
Does anyone have information on the new mana drain she is doing? She seems to tick me for 2-7 mana with a message on screen such that I can never get enough to cast anything on my dexxer.
It is a shame that it's really only a solo/duel client thing.

Ever since some jerk with the same name as one of my sampires started pretty much ruining Cora runs, I stopped farming her. Was too much aggravation for a lack of loot. Maybe next week I'll kill her again and see what I can come up with.
Well I ran it again last night with great frustration. After reading that they bumped the drop rate to 30% I thought it was worth the time.
She should be able to be solo'd with a healing samp but it's long and not easy. This new leech she has saps all your mana be it at 120 resist or 0 so bringing that skill or chiv seems like a waste of points. I've not tried yet but I'm thinking 120 parry, 120 healing, 120 tactics, 120 bushido, 120 weapon, 100 necro and the rest into anat might be able to do it alone. With a disco char for support it's fine but my build just isn't doing a ton of damage without the disco so my leech was light.
I made a new weapon last night with mana drain and HLA hoping that will help and ditched the mana leech. The reflective para she does is annoying also and I'm not sure if you can box out of that.

Managed to get myself set up well, knocked her off and got a Blight of the Tundra which was nice but not what I wanted but still went well. Disco plus the spell songs is a major bonus over running her without.
She has no slayer, and I am not sure what her weakest resist is, but two tamers one being a discord using a fire bug and my other tamer using a Cu Sid to tank worked great. Just have to run out of the way when she teleports and keep the discord in range. I killed her in like 2o mins like that. It isn't fast but works! I got Hephaestus and Prismatic Lense glasses. Pretty nice drops. Not sure but I think she drops that blue composite bow, the tundra one with a random slayer on it.
I think they changed her. Everytime I kill her with my tamers she does not do a fireball at all at me. Never even had her attack my tamers unless they attacked first and only when she teleports them in. Did they change the breathe weapon on her??? Just curious as I have never even seen her cast it on hundreds of kills.
get a tamer or 2 to tank her, Cu's very good, then hide behind the rocks so the mana drain trail cant get you, then hit her with spells, quite easy really, jsut remember to run and get out the way when she drags you in

My friends and I used to farm Cora back when she was first added and we tested different templates and positions.
Positioning: If in a group, put the tank in the doorway and hide your healers/casters/ranged in the corner
Fire Breath: This is probably one of the only abilities in the game that gives you a warning when it's coming. You'll hear the roar before the fire actually comes out. Using peacemaking right when you hear the roar will cancel the fire breath. Use peacemaking every time you hear a roar and you'll never get a fire breath. If I remember correctly her breath is also an AOE making it even more impactful to negate.
