*back story*
Sidelined due to an injury at work in July finally get physical therapy approved and call the therapy place to schedule an appointment.


While I was on the call the lady let me know the 11th was their first available appointment. I knew EM Tawaret had an event scheduled for that day but did not remember the time and she does them at various times. When she asked if 10am was sufficient I told her I needed to check my calender. My gf was sitting on the sofa and looked at me with utter confusion because I am not the type to keep a calender (may need too with my lacking memory lol) ... Once I got to the computer and pulled up Stratics Atlantic EM page she began rofl at it. Seeing the event was scheduled for 1pm that day I took the 10am appointment. For the rest of the call my gf was rofl.

Instead of WWJD I will ask WWYD? hehehe

Hehe I can relate when my Co-workers ask me if I can trade call I always check to see if its a night when there is something planned in UO... they always assume that since my kids are grown I'm not doing anything but when I say something like..... "Oh.... Hum... I think that's a High Council night... Not sure I can do that." My co-workers give me the strangest looks.

One time recently I was like ..... "Um.. no sorry I can't.. Governors meeting... Sorry."

One time at a meeting we were told to tell everyone something about yourself no one would know... I stood right up and said "I've been the Mayor of Yew for over 8 years." Live on 4 hours of sleep on a good night. I prefer 3 Oh btw I don't drink coffee because I probably be up all the time. An espresso at rare times is just like giving me a month's energy in one hour

use to go on a now defunct uo message board and one guy there told a story about how he missed school for 3 weeks cause he was playing uo. anyway this school official knocks on his door one day to inquire why he hasn't been at school. the kid tells the official he has to come back because the guild is about to raid an oaks.

I guess I am one of the few who just likes to play uo when I have free time. But in my WoW days I had been known to forget an important date or 10. Guess I just put rl first now, lame, lol.

long long time ago.... in a galaxy far far away I spent nearly 12 to 18 hours a day in UO... found my son and I talking of things in the real world in UO terms to the point that non game people looked at us strange... Stopped explaining it and let them look oddly.
Missed work, or playing at work (during breaks), school, was par for the course for people I knew in game.
You know its UO drugs at work....

I miss everything EM events etc etc due to my nieces taking my life over, and my PC. Time goes by, and I mostly forget cuz were outside or one is on the PC.
Both started school this year Yay me both in school now free time, but my celebration was cut short when I sister bought my niece a puppy for her 8th birthday little Morkie Sophie. Now I watch a puppy while she's at work figured be a walk in the park. Play UO when I want to now fill all those tailor bods got from Idocs do more deco. Brought up the play pen from the basement set it up put puppy, and toys in it. She is only 9 weeks old it took her only a day to figure out how to climb up the corner of the play pen and jump to the ground. No puppy is going to outsmart me I got a sheet, and covered up the top lol. While she sleeping up here on my desk I play UO.

i was Supervisor on call for work last night.
got a call at 3am and the fella said i sounded very chipper for 3am..... i invised myself in game and made a point of sounding tired and drowsy so he would get off the phone quicker so i could get back before my invis wore off.
some people just do not understand the lifestyle!!!

Totally made sure I was available for Malas housing LOL! I barely remember mega-IDOC day, I think that was like a drunk tank in my house. I was drunk on IDOCs. Wasted. I have no memory of the day.

Fortunately it was only the opening of the facet, and I did have the day off when house placement opened.

2003 in Taji Iraq a mortar attack less than 200 meters from my tent. I stayed at the computer for a RP-PVP battle. Odd how I chose UO pvp over real life pvp.

On a side note I'm pretty sure I was the first to play UO in Iraq.

Considering I live in Hawaii, almost ANY event in game means I am having to adjust my schedule to participate.
The worst of it was indeed when Trammel opened up. I "got sick" for an entire week and so took vacation at the last minute to cover expenses.
