OK so I just got my seventh slot and i started this guy in kr so i could try and get the skill statue the question is how tough is he what monster is he comparable to?

His AI is rather unique so its hard to compare him to any existing creature. As long as you're mounted and watch for his "cues" carefully, you stand a good chance of taking him down with modest skill. A mage just lightning-bolting him and healing while keeping a respectful distance can succeed - but he does have a few tricks to throw at you while you're doing it.
