prize is $100k siege gold for the best story on first tuesday of each month. regular story night prize will remain at $10k. we hope that this will stimulate shard community spirit and bring some top notch stories to the golden unicorn tavern in our fine shire. story night begins at 7pm pacific time. after the story time ends (usually one hour), we vote on best story by applause. you may vote once for each story that you think was the best and deserves the prize. tie votes are usually settled by a simple dice roll, mutual agreement between winning contestants or a duel between champions in the pit outside the tavern.
please prepare your best stories and try to keep the time limit to 20 minutes maximum. 10 minutes can be quite long if others than yourself are not engrossed in the story. if your tale is long, let the audience know ahead of time and judge for yourself if you would be wiser to wait and continue another night.
no armed weapons or fighting is allowed in our tavern. bards, scribes, treasure hunters, adventurers and other story weavers are all welcome in the shire as long as they respect our neutrality laws and are peaceful while within the shire. you should expect to be kicked or even permanently banned from the tavern if you steal or otherwise cause problems. please be respectful of others.
wispwood shire is not immune from raids by murderous bands of vile killers, so be prepared for possible group fighting near the shire (not likely until after the stories are told).
