I started a trial account 7 days ago. I have never played uo before now. I decided to buy the game yesterday. The account upgrade was difficult to get in because "your connection was reset" for hours. I finally get to enter the upgrade code. The code is invalid. I bought the code from EA's webstore.

Contacting customer service was very cumbersome. The phone support does not seem to exist, although the recording says they are available from 9am to 9pm then hangs up.

I went to easupport website and told them about the code through their messaging system. The man says my code has not been used. So I try again. still says it is an invalid code. I message the man at support back to tell him. Each exchange between support and myself takes 24 hours. I have seven days left on the trial. I think at the rate customer support is able to get enough information from me to actually do anything for me the trial will be over.

Is there another way?
too bad, really, it seemed like a fun game.

hey when you are using the codes are you copy and pasting it if you are when you have pasted it backing up one char you might have added one extra space and it will give you invalid code has happened to me a few times hope this helps

Yes, I did copy and paste. I thought about that however, and entered the code manually as well.

try using a different browser to enter the code.... The issues with the connection being reset often indicates trouble with the browser communicating with the web page, and sometimes that is a browser-specific problem.

Also consider sending a PM to Cal_Mythic; he might be able to help you from their end.

OK, I found another customer support number and when I called it was the same recording...blah blah 9am to 9pm hang up. But, on this one it gave a specific email address to live chat at the EA site. the live chat worked. So the guy on live chat tells me all the same stuff. The code hasn't been used, had me try to enter it without dashes, etc. Finally the guy says hold on. comes back and asks me if I want monthly billing and activates the account.
So the problem is solved even though I still don't know what the problem actually was. Either way, it's all good now.
