Current house decay system?

Can anyone explain the current system for house decay? If I cancel an account, when does the timer begin and how long will I have until the house decays?

Decay doesn't start for around 90 days from when the account closes, I think the actual decay lasts a week.

In theory. But that's doing it a bit too close. Might consider cancel for 2.5 months. But even that's a risk. If you're going to try this I'd suggest packing up all important stuff, bank it and leave what wont fit in your character backpacks.

Actually the day after you restart your subscription if your account went past the 90 days and began to decay it will actually un-decay.

I know from experience.
