the stealable items on monsters may have market values. The better items are no doubt on the better monsters. Anyone stealthing greater to now approach these monsters? Was it difficult in previous times to get next to them?

I don't think that stealing from monsters will meet much better attitude in these forums than stealing from the ground...

maybe so. Yet most people have killed the mongbats to gain better swords, and if these may be stolen and sold, they will afford me to purchase the scrolls and items to better steal. One does what one must.
