Crystal Ball of Summoning

I am a returning player who has been out for a long while.
Where can I get the Crystal Balls of Pet Summoning?

I've seen two different ones on player vendors, but when I click on the Crystal Ball, I do not get a 'Buy' option.

Also, how do you charge them (both of the ones I saw on Vendors were at 0)?

You can get them through the solen hive quest. This is also where you get the powder of translocation to charge them. You also get the bag of sending, which will teleport things to your bank box from your backpack, very handy ; ) Here is a stratics link that will tell you everything you need to know much better than I. http://uo.stratics.com/content/quests/matriarch.php

Provided you can be on the same level as the vendor selling the item you can buy it by saying 'vendor buy'. If the vendor is on a higher level of the building and you have no access to that level, it can not be bought.

A fact I've been trying to communicate to various vendor owners for some time! To sell a ball from a vendor on another level the seller needs to put the ball in a bag and sell the bag.
