Has anyone noticed that if you steel from a monster in Tram, you have to wait on the criminal timer before you can port out? Was this intended or did someone goof?? Bai of Baja
The only thing this timer does is 'ground' you for a while, can't recall or gate for a few minutes, and if you die the healers won't rez you till it wears off. It's a minor inconvenience, that's all.
Sorry Petra
my mistake, I shouldn't have said "count", I meant classed as a criminal for stealing from and not for murdering a monster
I don't mind the inconvenience, I'm just not used to it in a dungeon
in Trammel
And does anyone know what is the actual time you that you are grounded for this crime
sorry, I've never timed it.
My method of stealing from monsters goes 'mark it' 'steal it' 'invis' with 'hide' on my invis self macro on an 8 second delay. Protection cast to be sure of getting the invis off. Can't recall out of a felucca dungeon anyway, so that's not a consideration.
I have always wonder why they kept that timer when stealing from crates in town, but steal in a dungeon you could recall out right then and there. Many a time when I go to get the dry flowers, rolling pin, or chisels I have to sit and wait on the timer before I can continue to the next shop.
The timer is 2minutes after engaging the stealing skill
my experience doesnt matter what you steal from as long as you have attempted to steal, you have commited a criminal act(regardless who your stealing from man or monster, stealing is against the law)
