Crazed Mage and Shadows Fury Bow?

I have killed hundreds of these with my archer. They have never aggroed my archers while the mage is on a pet.

Now the first shot he aggros on me. Very annoying.

I was using the Shadow's Fury Bow. I switched to my normal bow and its back to normal, he does not aggro me.

Maybe the Hit effect on that bow does it. ?
