I searched and I searched, but I couldn't find the answer. Crafting with spined leather gives you luck, barbed leather gives you higher resists, is there anything special horned leather does? Does it give LRC or anything?
Is there any reason you would craft something with horned leather instead of barbed leather when barbed gives higher resists? (Other than to fill BODs for horned)

Have a look at the Material Bonuses List.

Spined Leather gives 5% extra physical resist and 40 Luck.
Horned Leather gives 11% extra resists: 2/3/2/2/2
Barbed Leather gives 12% extra resists: 2/1/2/3/4

Personally I use Horned Leather for my runic crafted armour. The reason is I like the resist-spread on Horned Leather better. I play mostly mage-characters and if, like me, you're using an Ornament & Hat of the Magi you already get plenty of energy resist bonuses. The fire resist Horned leather offers is a lot more important to me.

While most barbed(B-kit) armor pieces have high energy on average horned would have significantly high fire resist according to the material bonus chart you will lose one total resist using horned leather than barbed but on average 1/3 of my runic armor is made with horned to off set this fire vs energy for balance.

Other than that making a Vampire suit(-25 fire) you'll have the easiest results from using all horned leathers!
