I also find it funny when the blacksmith vendor gives me a bod for 20 normal iron mauls and says "will you fill this for me?"

And I say "ok, can I buy 20 normal iron mauls from you?" Then I hand the bod back. Seem he could have done that himself, he had all the components.

How about, "where does all that weight come from?"

So, you use (less than) 2 stone weight of ingots (and nothing else) to make each War Mace, but the finished War Mace weighs SEVENTEEN stones.

I'd like to meet the warrior that can swing such a mace. A 17-stone war mace is 238 lbs.

Technically, there were dozens of different weights for "1 stone", depending on what was being measured. The one that survived the longest, and most people think of, is the one used for weighing horses and some other livestock (and originally meant for weighing wool).

England and other Germanic-speaking countries of northern Europe formerly used various standardised "stones" for trade, with their values ranging from about 5 to 40 local pounds (roughly 3 to 15 kg) depending on the location and objects weighed. The United Kingdom's imperial system adopted the wool stone of 14 pounds in 1835.

We know a Britannian stone isn't the equine/wool stoneweight, because that would mean someone with 125 STR would be packing around 3.5-4 tons, depending on race. Still, even an 85 lb. war mace is a bit ridiculous, so the Brit stone must be around to a pound or less - and possibly something closer to 8-9 oz. or 250 grams.

Okay file this one under WTH was the Dev Team thinking/smoking THAT day:

You get the Kotl Black Rod recipe from turning in TINKER bods. However to make it you need CARPENTRY!?!?!?!
Shouldn't it have been a Carpentry reward?!?!?! o.0:twak::slap:
