Crafter/Imbuer necessary? (Returning Player)

Hello, I just started playing again after a 15 year break. Been mostly playing on free servers. My question is, do I need to make a crafter/inbuer to supply my character with good gear? on the free servers that I've played on, I never had to make a crafter as I can always buy them from players. but then again, they are pre-aos servers. I'm currently rocking my tamer with a cu using crappy gear which is fine, but I plan on making a "Sampire" warrior which I believe is a heavily item dependant character. Should I invest in a crafter/imbuer? or can I get away with just buying the gear from players? I will only be doing PvM.

so much new content added to uo, I feel like it will take years to relearn everything. but I love it!

They make it easier to fill in the gaps of missing peices, and your weapon should be crafted. That being said, you should be able to find someone willingto craft it for you, sometimes for gold, so.etimes just for resources. Depends on the shard your on.

cool thanks, I think I will eventually make a crafter/imbuer as to not always have to depend on other players. For now, I will try to find someone to craft/imbue for me. I still need to find out which gear is worth crafting/imbue and the necessary resources. Gotta do some research on that. and I'm on Atlantic so finding players probably won't be an issue. I'm still shocked how dead the other servers are

For a mage you barely need crafter.
For a warrior you better have blacksmith and imbuer. Usually it is enough.

Not necessary, but may as well make crafting mules along with the other char types.
