Crab Fishin, How do you do it? This is how I do it....

Was just wondering how others do this,maybe I can improve my way of doing things or maybe improve others way by sharing mine?

I usually use 60 traps,than go slow forward and drop them off the side using "last object" and spacing them maybe 4 tiles apart. Than after I reach the end of the string I go BACK to the first pot. Hit Slow Forward and use the cntrl/shift to highlight the pots as I slowly pass by dbl clicking them as I go. Rarely lose any pots but sometimes I do lose one or two.

Most times I have 1-2 crabs per pot.....if I wait to long I lose more pots and have more with 2-3 in it...but with SP prices...ya don`t wanna lose to many to often, at least I don`t.

I have friends on LS that use 100 pots at a time and do both sides of the boat....they lose alot of pots but all the ones that remain have 3 crabs per,seems to expensive for SP but would LOVE to catch more crab than my 50 string.

So how do my fellow SP fishermen do your crabbing? Am I on the mark or should I be doing something a lil different?

from boat i have macro that says "left one, wait 1 sec ,left one"
i lay out 8-10 accross boat line then hit macro.
then lay out the next line.
till i get about 6 lines or so and move back to start and pick them up.
i only let them sit in the 1-2 min range so i dont lose any.

also my boat macro when i just said "left one, left one" it would ignore the 2nd command so i put in a wait timer in it.

LOL I hate crabbin too but told Ginsu I`d try my best to stock the crab coffer`s at his fish house since he`s helped me out with a 105 fishing scroll and a slue of other things/gold. Gives me something to do between gains (104.4). Now to find me a 110 and keep on crabbin.

An LS friend told me that crabbin gets easier after 110.....that true or does it always suck!?

Friend taught me a handy trick to make trap recovery easier.
Set a "Slow Forward" on your boat, and hold Control+Shift when doing the pickup of the pods. This will let you use the names of the pods for pickup, instead of the graphic. Eliminates the need to go back and forth from missing pods.
