Couple Bushido Questions?

Hi, new to forum

I was considering adding bushido to an archer. I was told by a friend that if you get a lesser, the game changed it so that it will not be allowed to bond unless you have the required taming? Is this true?

Also, I heard that critical hits for lightning strike are based more on honor level than bushido skill.

I didn't find anything on this in stratics, is this recent patches, or is the info not correct? I am so confused, because I hear different things from different people, and I know that sometimes stratics info is outdated.

Lesser's can be ridden at 90 Bushido and will bond at 100. Unless things have changed again I'm pretty certain that the Taming/Lore skill is not a requirement.
If you are considering adding Bushido to your archer then I would highly recommend it. I run a Bushido/Chivalry Archer and he is my main character. He started out as my Fisherman and now he goes everywhere. Of course you would want to add it based on your own template but honestly I don't see any down sides to having it.

My understanding is that you either have to have 90 Bushido or 90 Taming to control a Lesser Hiryu; you can basically use either one or another.

Also, I am not sure if your critical strike chance has much to do with honor, so much as honor can dramatically increase your damage output and chance of getting better items. I would take a look at the FAQ at the top, as Ravenspyre wrote out an excellent and very thourough guide to Bushido.

Critical hits have nothing to do with Honor and everything to do with your Bushido skill level.

If you have 90 or 100 Bush and your lesser gets damaged can you heal it? I wouldn't have any room for vet if that was needed.

And that last one was a good question! CAN a lesser be healed without the vet?

You can use magery or chiv to heal your pet. Bandies really aren't that effective if you have no vet.

I guess that would just complicate my owning one then as I have neither of those skills. I wouldn't want to get one if I couldn't take care of it. If we only had room for a few more skills. LOL

If you cant vet a lesser, you cant vet a horse, or a swampie.....so whats the difference...just dont use your lesser as a meat sheild and you will be fine

[/ QUOTE ]Completely False. Read the Guide at the top of the forum, has all the answers to your questions. You can ride and contorl, and even bond a lesser Hiryu as long as you have 90 or greater Bushido skill. There was a bug at one point where it wasn't working, but this has been fixed.

[/ QUOTE ]The Bushido Guide in this forum is far from outdated, and it's probably one of the few guides that get's updated regularly, considering I put in alot of effort and painstakingly pay attention to every nit pick detail about being a samurai since I was in the SE beta to ensure that it is as accurate as humanly possible, without going to the devs office and reading the code first hand.
