Counsil Du Roi
Heckles looked worriedly at his King who was sat at his desk amongst a pile of reports with his head in his hands.
"So the Ravens were all chased away? And the Raven King killed, right here in the streets of Britain?" King Blackthorn shook his head in dismay. "I'd given them my word I would protect them!"
"I tried to stop them Sire!" Heckles held his hands up in a defensive gesture. "But there were so many of them... They were carrying torches and pitchforks. First they wanted to speak to you, then to Skaros. When you both weren't here..."
"Curse you Skaros!" Blackthorn slammed the desk with his fist in anger.
When he'd regained his composure Blackthorn took up a scroll and after a few strokes with a quill handed it to Heckles. "Deliver this letter to the Governors. Let them know the Ravens will be looking for a new home, and ask if any would accommodate them."
