Could someone clarify Raptors for me?

Hello, just back to playing the game after a little 5 year break :]

I was looking through the taming page on Stratics and it lists the Raptor at 65.1 taming requirement.

I found some and had three different results (on different raptors) when trying to tame (at 86 tame, 88 lore):

1) this animal cannot be tamed
2) you have no chance of taming this animal
3) you anger the beast

The 3rd one I get. But why would I get the 1st two results? Is the info on stratics correct?

it was correct from beta, I tested it myself raising taming a point at a time till I found the level at which I could make a taming attempt. The 'this animal cannot be tamed' message would probably related to a 'summoned' raptor, they call in friends, but only the spawning one can be tamed.

The ones that spawn from a raptor are considered summons and can not be tamed. Its tricky to get the right one but what I did was pull its bar before arrgo then lure it to relative safety. Making sure I know which is the original, kill the 2 that it summons then tame it.

Unfortunately of a 2 slot pet that takes such high level skill, it is underpowered and does not spawn the pair of summons post tame.

I dont really understand why pretamed they seem very formidable but post tame they seem well...tame.

hmm, it was correct, there must have been a change during beta. I will rectify the error.
