I've handed in my old costumes but can't work out how to get the new ones from the npc?

Are any of them more desirable than the rest? I guess fewer people would select the 8 point costumes, but then again, maybe everyone will grab those and not the 7 point costumes. Just trying to be smart about my trade ins.

Thanks!

I wish we could turn in those blue crystals too, I have a lot of those leftover. I was traveling a lot during that event for work and didn't get to turn some in while away. Any thing that can be done with those?

On my shard, the most desirable have been those costumes with interesting or varied character animations, including:

fire elemental, Ophidian warrior, Solen warrior, changleing, exodus minion, lady of the snow, pixie, oni

Other popular ones - for whatever reason - are: ethereal warriors (everyone has one of these, it seems), minotaur, wolf spider

The choices also vary between clients. There's a big difference in looks between some of these costumes between 2D and EC. For instance, in EC the Wisp and Lady of the Snow look quite impressive, the former because of sparkle effects and the latter due to some awesome art. In the CC, they are less impressive.

The stuffy dwagon...err..drake looks rather boring in the EC, but looks more impressive in the CC. Same goes for the exodus minion.

In the end, choose the ones *you* like, or you'll end up just selling them off later on. Which is no fun.

I'm not seeing any particle effects on my wisp costume in the EC, although I have all the right settings for it. Odd.

And I agree.. pick what you like, not what you can sell. Live a little, spoil yourself, enjoy the goodies instead of the gold.

Well, it's broken, at the moment as the wisp costume is invisible. In order for me to get my wisp to work in EC, I have to don the costume, then log off and back on again. Then I can see the sparkly wisp. When I run in the costume, it leaves a rubber bandy-like set of sparkly trails. Those are the particle effects I'm referring to.

The opposite issue comes when I take the costume off. I still see the wisp costume, no matter what form I'm in until I log off/on again. Throughout this whole process, *others* see the correct forms, so it's def a client-side bug.

Ah okay, good to know, thanks. I felt a bit ripped off when it only produced a small patch of discolouration on the ground. If I wanted that I'd have bought a puppy.

This has nothing to do with cost, but did the devs fix it so costumes don't break when you where one and fight? I Thought there was a post on this but can't find it atm.

It was listed as fixed in Pub 63. But I haven't been brave enough to try it with any of my costumes.

Don't worry. The blue ones will not be more valuable until a dev says they are worthless.

Anyone willing to post some screen shots of the different trade-in costumes they have gotten? I too would like to make some informed decisions before using the very few extra costumes I have. I'm looking at a total of 12-15 points to play with. Thanks to anyone who can post a picture.

Well they look like the creatures that exist in game all of which are probably pictured (including walking animations) in the hunters guide.
