Corrupted Crystal Portal not working?

Is the corrupted crystal portal not working, or am i just stupid?

I can't get it to work. My normal crystal portal is working fine ( i put them about 15 steps from each other and even removed the normal for testing)

It seems mine is corrupted

Usually this has to do with z level. as in did you raise it up or down to high?

Thanks for that tip. I had it on a low small table and it did not work.
Now it's on the floor and it works
